HandledNow is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a first-shift Team Leader. The Team Leader will develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely.

Schedule – 1st shift – Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 3:45 pm. Occasional Saturday Production and Overtime required.

Job Duties

  • Follow safety guidelines
  • Support all monthly safety KPI’s and ensures the completion
  • Ensures all rules involving safety and operations are enforced
  • Cleans work area according to 5s standards
  • Ensure employees are trained and compliant
  • Assist in the coordination of shipping activities
  • Sign manifests on behalf of customers
  • Performs shipping & Receiving activities
  • Assists in the preparation of the monthly reports
  • Communicates problems to management
  • Assists in creating operational procedures/instructions and other documentation

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Must have past leadership experience.
  • Experience using sit-down electric forklift and electric stand-up tugger.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to fill out paperwork and check emails.
  • Ability to stay organized.
  • Must believe safety is the top priority.
  • Ability to juggle several tasks at once, while also being able to prioritize.
  • Ability to use PC – word processing, spreadsheets, databases is required.
  • High School diploma and six months of related experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, percent and to create and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Required to wear protective clothing, gloves, hard hat, respirator, safety shoes and safety glasses.
  • Ability to work in an environment where the noise level is usually moderate.
