Handled Now is hiring Class A CDL local drivers for early morning grocery delivery out of Bloomfield, Connecticut. This is touch freight, palletized grocery items delivered via manual pallet jack and liftgate trailers, with routes across the New England region. Home daily, with 2 consecutive days off each week.
Job Details
● Pay: $32.00 per hour
● Schedule: Sunday through Sunday operation; drivers get 2 consecutive days off each week
● Start time: Varies, early AM between 1 and 5 AM
● Route: Local, home daily, delivering across Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Maine, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania & New York
● Tractor: Day cab
● Trailer: 48′ and 58′ trailers, 28′ pups, and 26′ straight truck reefers
● Freight: Touch freight, palletized grocery items, tailgate deliveries. Unload with a manual pallet jack, bringing product to the tail of the trailer. On liftgate trailers, bring product onto the liftgate and down to the ground
● Training: Drivers will be trained on reefer unit and liftgate operation. Safety is key
● License requirement: No automatic transmission restriction on your CDL
● PPE: Steel-toe boots, safety vest, and other required PPE must be worn on the job
