Job Description

Handled Now is hiring Class A Local & Regional Drivers to haul office supplies in dry vans for a dedicated Staples account, with a mix of live loads and drop-and-hook. This is a no-touch freight position.

Job Details

  • Pay: $0.65/mile (Tier 1 mileage rate)
  • Schedule: Sunday-Thursday or Monday-Friday
  • Start Time: Evening starts; times will vary
  • Route Type: Local & Regional (2-3 day routes); 2 consecutive days off weekly
  • Delivery States: IN, OH, MI, KY, IL, WI
  • Tractor Type: Day cab or sleeper
  • Trailer Type: 53′ dry van
  • Freight: No touch, live unload and drop & hook; dedicated Staples account, office supplies

Qualifications

What It Takes to Drive With Handled Now

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in the state of domicile
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years operating Class 8 tractor-trailer equipment
  • Clean driving record: no DUI, DWI, reckless, or careless driving convictions within the past 5 years
  • No more than 3 moving violations and/or preventable accidents within the past 3 years
  • Able to determine that cargo is properly loaded, distributed, and secured
  • Able to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to meet FMCSA requirements
